Terms of Service
Last updated 3 October 2026
These terms apply when you use the Skreen app and website. By using Skreen you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Skreen.
Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to use Skreen. Give accurate information when you sign up, keep your password safe, and let us know if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
Using Skreen
Skreen helps you plan cinema trips, meet up with friends and share what you watch. When you use it, do not:
- harass, threaten, impersonate or deceive other people;
- share anything illegal, hateful, sexually explicit or violent, or anything you do not have the right to share;
- send spam, or use bots or scripts to access Skreen;
- fake your location or your check ins, for example to change what Skreen counts as watched;
- try to break, overload or get around the security of Skreen.
You can report people and content in the app. We may remove content or suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Watched and check ins
Skreen counts a plan as watched when you say it happened and the app confirmed you were at the cinema around showtime. How this works is explained in our Privacy Policy. Your counts are there for you and your friends, and we may correct counts that were reached by faking a location or a check in.
Limits
To keep Skreen free of spam, there are limits on how often you can do some things, such as creating plans, following people or messaging someone new, and sending in a chat can be slowed down for a moment when messages come very fast. The limits are set so normal use never reaches them, and we may change them.
Meeting people
Plans can bring you together with people you have not met before. Skreen does not check who people are and is not responsible for how anyone behaves. Meet in public places, use your judgement, and report anything that worries you.
Your content
You own what you post. You give Skreen permission to store and show it to the people you share it with, as needed to run the service. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies others have already received and backups that expire on their own.
Cinema tickets
Skreen can store tickets you add, including tickets it finds in your email if you connect your email account. Tickets are sold by cinemas and ticket sellers, not by Skreen. We do our best to read them correctly, but always check your ticket with the cinema, and keep the original. Skreen is not responsible if a ticket is read wrongly or is refused at the entrance.
Film information
Film and series details come from The Movie Database (TMDB). Skreen uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Privacy
How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Changes and availability
We keep improving Skreen, so features may change or stop. We may update these terms and will tell you in the app when a change is significant. Using Skreen after a change means you accept the new terms.
Ending
You can stop using Skreen and delete your account at any time in the app, from your profile settings. Deleting it is permanent. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.
Liability
Skreen is provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always work or be free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for things outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law as a consumer.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden.
